e15, Salone del Mobile 2016, Milan, Exhibition Design

The exhibition design by PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN for e15 combines raw concrete floors and white walls to create a simple and modern platform for presentation. Reflecting the clear and progressive design language of the brand, a series of high walls unfolds into distinct areas for the curated selection of e15 furniture, lighting and accessories, providing intriguing architectural viewpoints. Individual settings blend concepts for living and dining, while a white platform highlights the new releases and classics of the collection. Incorporating art of Berlin-based König Galerie, the presentation reflects the brand’s philosophy and its open approach to diverse cultures and disciplines.

e15, Salone del Mobile 2011, Milan, Exhibition Design

The German furniture brand e15 commissioned a new exhibition design for its fair presentations. In a spare black space, the products are elevated onto white platforms and cubes of different heights, displaying clearly the individual significance of each product. Their elevation also results in a different perspective onto the products, allowing a detailed view of the construction and design. Bold graphic text on platforms provides an informing and striking visual element for the presentation.

e15, Salone del Mobile 2010, Milan, Exhibition Design

For the exhibition at furniture fairs in its 15th anniversary year, the modern furniture brand e15 commissioned a new exhibition stand concept. Intended to reflect a creative work environment, the stand design emphasised a studio character and showed the continual design process the brand lives. On raw industrial flooring, timber scaffolding with white plastic tarpaulin make up the stand walls, which are adorned by handwritten greetings of the brand’s befriended New York artist Mark Borthwick. Lighting is produced by fluorescent tubes in the improvised walls, and symmetrically placed as ceiling lights. Product models, material samples, furniture component parts, development images and drawings are all on display along with the finished products.
