e15, imm Cologne 2016, Cologne, Exhibition Design

Consistent with the clear and progressive design language of the brand e15, PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN developed an exhibition design which incorporates the existing concrete floors of the exhibition hall to provide a simple and modern platform for the presentation. Allowing for intriguing architectural viewpoints, a series of high white walls unfold into spaces with a striking and simple feel for showcasing the selection of e15 furniture, lighting and accessories. A partial roof creates a living room atmosphere, allowing the visitor to experience the furniture in a real life setting.

CLOSED, Cologne, Interior Design

PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN completes a new store in Cologne for international fashion label Closed. The 252 sqm store located in Cologne’s city centre features continuous set of geometric forms that form intriguing presentation spaces for the men’s and women’s collection, whilst elegantly toying with high-grade materials and original colours as a main design element.

Rich materials such as marble, solid wood and natural leather are contrasted with back-lit powder coated MDF shelves in combination with perforated steel boxes in subtle yet distinct colours, emphasising the innovative and authentic character of the brand.

Since 2004, PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN has collaborated with Closed in creating a progressive and identifiable brand architecture for the label. This includes the design and realisation of all Closed retail stores, showroom spaces as well as numerous international exhibition stands for the brand.

Commissioned to convert the interior within an old warehouse building in the Belgium quarter of Cologne, an office layout was conceived based on generous and natural use of space, while featuring elements of the old structure such as the arched ceiling. The result is an atmosphere created especially for the needs of creative minds, maintaining good communication and space for contemplation.

e15, imm Cologne 2007, Cologne, Exhibition Design

The design of a pure and architectural exhibition stand reflecting e15’s distinct aesthetic was planned to communicate the introduction of the e15 Living concept for the brand’s 2007 collection. With a layout representing a generous one-story house, all living areas were represented. A special focus was placed on the debut of the sofa system SHIRAZ featured in various fabric combinations, creating a living landscape together with complementing products such as metal and wood side tables and carpets. The layout of the stand allowed the visitor to discover e15 products while wandering through different areas of a „residential house“.
