CLOSED, Amsterdam, Interior Design

With a focus on clear architectural details and contrast in sophisticated colours, the Amsterdam store of international fashion label Closed has been completed.

The interior concept by PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN creates a distinct mix of formal and informal elements bridging between old and new. Freestanding display tables and clothing rails alongside modular pale pink presentation elements provide for a combination of hanging and flat presentations. Palisander wood shelves are set against mirror coated cubes, originating in an impressive modern space. The changing room area features a special ambiance with an intriguing wallpaper by Hermès inspired by Indian gardens.

Since 2004, PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN has collaborated with Closed in creating a progressive and identifiable brand architecture for the label. This includes the design and realisation of all Closed retail stores, showroom spaces as well as numerous international exhibition stands for the brand.
